Week 7


Chicken:

We started with the mesh of the chicken. It's not yet done but we will finish it in the next sprint.

we are using the same technique as with the player and boss. We will optimize the bird with dynameshing and zremeshing.



Boss and Character animations:

We had issues with the skinning of the Boss so we couldn't animate the boss yet, after a lot of struggling and finding out the best way to skin the clothes we were able to animate the boss.

also the scale of the player was a bit too small so we had to scale it up. because of this we had to do the animations over.

currently we are testing the animations in unreal.


Level:

We continued building our level, creating all the neccesary modular assets and additional assets to create an interesting level design.
We also added the character models for size and style reference and highlighted interactable places with an orange material. 
As a next step, we are going to take care of the materials for the environmental assets.

Textures and new props:

This week we had the exciting addition of two new props to our game: the axe and the dung. But even MORE EXCITING is the completion of many of our prop (and plant) unwraps and the creation of brand new textures for them. So here's a showdown of all of the stuff mentioned above.


Item additions:

Added a new item that spawns from the chicken. Meat can now burn and the boss wont take it anymore when it is burnt.

                    

All item updates:

Items now roll around when you push them and collide with stuff. Every item also has a custom socket in the mesh so the items fit in the hand of the player mor that they used to.
