Week 8


Environment

This week we finished off our level, by using the latest feedback. We Also added the correct lighting and first textures to the scene.



Visual Effects

This week we started working on the visual effects we want to add into our game as well. For now these are just basic effects, that still have to be finalized as well as some sprites that still have to be made.



Textures

This week we added a fruit item to the game and also textured the campfire, besides doing a bunch of decals and tweaking the environment textures


Boss AOE attack:

The boss now attacks every 5-10 seconds, he stomps on the ground and then a boulder drops on a random player. If the player gets hit he gets stunned for a very small time and drops the items in their hand. 

Rock spawner:

Rocks drop out of the air every couple seconds (pretty fast) but they stop at a maximum amount in the spawnzone so the level doesn't get overrun with hundreds of stones.

Poisoning food:

Added the interaction to hit someone that holds meat with dung so you poison their food, the actual poisoned food isn't in the game yet so for now it just instantly burns the meat. But the mechanic is already there.

Item:

Weight has been added to the items that slows you down  when you hold them.
Meat is now obtained through killing a bird.

Boss:

When the boss is fed enough, a message is currently printed to indicate the game end

Player:

A walking animation has been added in the blendspace for better looking movement
