Week10
Hello :)
This was the last week of the second sprint, so no more features will be added after this. Lets see what the final features we were able to add to the game look like.
Player feedback:
In game UI:
We added an in game UI that shows the players how far they are in winning the game. We also implemented the menu's with art.
Meat cooking bar:
When you cook meat there is now a bar that tells the player how far it is in the cooking process.
Sound effects:
We added a lot of sounds in the game so that the player feels like something is happening when they do something. There is are also some ambience sounds.
Interactions:
Buttons appear above the player for certain interactions for player learning curve.
Players also no longer add berries to meat for bonus points. Instead now you can eat a berry yourself and enjoy a temporary speed boost.
Controller vibration when stunned is also added.
Sprites:
A bunch of new sprites where added for both UI and RFX this week with the goal of making the mechanics of the game clearer to the players and increase the feedback given from their in-game actions:
We've also made a new decal for better grass-rock transition and applied the decals to the game environment:
As a last note, the idea of mixing berries with meat was scrapped and now the player will be the one eating the berry to gain a handy speed boost!
